Sendai Bus Tour
Three weeks ago Lana, Kim, and I went on a bus tour with my Japanese teacher. I was stoked because we were planning on making a trip up to Sendai anyway because they are famous for their Christmas light up. There are hundreds of Zelkova trees that line the main street, and they're wrapped in white lights. Cho sugoi yo! When we got on the bus it was pretty hilarious because it was a bus full of women over 60.
The first stop was a famous kamaboko factory that is also connected to a showing room where they display Sendai's notorious tanabata decorations. It wasn't very interesting but we did get to sample all the kamaboko we wanted! You name it, and they had it! Fried kamaboko, tofu kamaboko, gyutan kamaboko, soybean kamaboko...
I'm sure this family eats gourmet gyutan all the time...
After the kamaboko factory it was off to a hotel resort near Matsushima islands for some all you can eat sushi!
