Akemashite Omedettou Gozaimasu!
Minnasan! Akemashite omedettou gozaimasu! Kyonnen mo yoroshiku onegaishimasu! I can't believe it's 2008, and I only have 7 months left here...better make the best of it. I'm hoping it'll be another great year, especially since it's the year of the rat! It was another new years eve in Tokyo, except this year it wasn't spent freezing outside in the cold waiting for the bells to ring in front of Meiji Shrine...Remember that Michelle?? Hahaha...GREAT times, right? I MISS YOU!!! Anyway, we got a hotel room at the Shinagawa Prince, and ended up meeting everyone at Shibuya crossing (where else?) for the countdown. After that we just went to a couple of dance clubs, and saw the first sunrise of the new year (it's considered good luck to the Japanese). We slept all morning at the hotel, then that night we went to Hapuna for their AWESOME dinner buffet. It was 6,000 yen/person, but well worth it! I haven't had crab legs the entire time I've been here! After dinner everyone wanted to go back to the room to rest, but Lana and I thought we shoud work it off by doing jumping around singing karaoke. It was just the two of us, but we were so loud there were some spectators peeking in outside our room.
I'm glad to hear that everyone had a great time in Hilo like always. I can't believe I missed it two years in a row, but NEVER AGAIN. I ate kuromame, and yomogi mochi because I missed home so much ( I don't even like yomogi mochi!) haha...Did you girls go to Kristi's house again? It looked like there was a reunion at home (minus Aubri and I), I hope we'll find a time when everyone is at home again soon...Maybe this summer? Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008 to family and friends. Yoroshiku onegaiitashimasu.
